Alley cropping tree lines alter temperature and light quantity and influence daily growth rates of grassland

چکیده

Trees alter microclimate and radiation budget in alley cropping systems, which turn change physiological processes of the grassland component. The influence trees on growth depends climate zone as well possibly weather conditions during respective interval. proportion shade-tolerant species further modifies tree effect growth, number annual harvests. We studied distance orientation relative to line (tree South-West vs. North-East) rates adjacent with two cutting frequencies (frequent infrequent) an system different vegetation compositions (diverse grass-clover) willow clones. Microclimate parameters were measured at points where determined better characterize position line. Growth differed significantly (p < 0.05) depending biomass accumulation amounted 389 ± 13.5 g m−2 center 321 10.0 North-East 292 9.2 transect position. Lower occurred positions lower light quantities close trees, namely South-West. Temperature humidity differences between distances affected by line, but neither soil nor air temperatures rates. Vegetation composition mediates trees: difference was more pronounced diverse higher productivities alleys, also overall sward productivity.

Effects of salinity, temperature, light intensity and light regimes on production, growth and reproductive parameters of Apocyclops dengizicus

The effects of salinity, temperature, and light conditions on production and development, longevity, survival and sex ratios of the cyclopoid copepod, A. dengizicus were determined. Seven different salinity levels (5, 10, 15, 20, 25, 30, 35 psu), four temperatures (20, 25, 30, 35 °C), three different light intensities (33.3, 85.3, 162.1 μmol photons/ m2/ s) and light regimes (24:0, 0:24, and 12...

Temperature and tree growth.

Tree growth helps US forests take up 12% of the fossil fuels emitted in the USA (Woodbury et al. 2007), so predicting tree growth for future climates matters. Predicting future climates themselves is uncertain, but climate scientists probably have the most confidence in predictions for temperature. Temperatures are projected to rise by 0.2 °C in the next two decades, then by 1.5–3.5 °C at the e...

Influence of light and spawn quantity on the growth of Nigerian mushroom Pleurotus tuber-regium.

The effects of light and quantity of spawn on the sporophore and sclerotial yields of Pleurotus tuber-regium, cultivated on cotton wastes, rice straw, cocoyam peel, comcob, groundnut shell and sawdusts of Mansonia altissima, Khaya ivorensis and Boscia angustifolia were observed. The organism had sporophore and sclerotial yield values of 36.8 and 27.6 g kg(-1) waste, respectively, in cotton wast...
